Bolsonaro testifies about alleged vaccine certificate fraud
The former President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, gave a statement at the headquarters of the Federal Police, in Brasília, as a suspect of alleged fraud with vaccine certificates against covid-19, something he guarantees he has not taken.
The Federal Police suspect that Bolsonaro’s data and that of some of his family members and advisors were manipulated to enter the United States of America at a time when certificates were required by the authorities of this country.
In order to find out, the authorities carried out searches at the residence of the former President and six close collaborators on May 3, four of whom were and remain under arrest.
This is the third appearance by Brazil’s former far-right leader in the past two months before police authorities. The first happened due to his alleged intention to seize some Saudi jewels belonging to the State and the second due to his alleged support for the coup attempt carried out by his supporters on January 8th.
