Body of missing youth recovered from Feni river in BSF chase

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) is retrieving the body of a young man named Mithun Barua (35) from Feni River in Fatikchari.

This body was recovered from Nalua border of Bhujpur Bagan Bazar Union on Wednesday (September 7). He is the son of Shyama Charan of Ratnapalak Union of Ukhia Upazila of Cox’s Bazar District.

According to sources, Mithun Barua went missing in Feni river last Friday after being chased by BSF while entering India through a broker.

BGB found a dead body in the Feni river at the Nalua border of the upazila on Wednesday and rescued it with the help of locals and handed it over to the Bhujpur police station.

Bhujpur police station investigation officer Abul Kalam said that after receiving the information through the emergency services, they came to the spot and made a report and recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for post-mortem.
