BMW introduced the i5 electric sedan with a range of 475 km. The top version accelerates to 100 km / h in 3.7 seconds

BMW presented the updated 5-series and the new i5 electric car (G60 generation).

In the design of the i5, the company abandoned the split headlights. At the same time, the front grille, already by tradition, has become larger than that of its predecessor. It has a backlight, which will be sold as an option.

Behind, new LED lights immediately attract attention, as well as a modified trunk lid and bumper.

At the start, two modifications will be available:

▪️ eDrive40: 335 hp, torque 400 Nm, range 475 km, acceleration to 100 km/h in 5.7 s, top speed 193 km/h

▪️ M60 xDrive: 590 hp, torque 743 Nm, range 412 km, acceleration to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, top speed 230 km/h

The BMW i5 supports fast charging up to 205 kW. From 10% to 80%, it charges the car in 30 minutes.

The company said that the i5 has a near-perfect 50:50 weight distribution and suspension tuned for sporty riding.

Inside, the i5 has a curved screen, consisting of two displays with a diagonal of 12.3 and 14.9 inches. The multimedia screen is touch-sensitive, but if desired, it can be controlled using a puck on the center console.

The car received branded BMW Interaction Bar lighting, which is located on the front console and doors.

The BMW i5 will be produced at the German plant in Dingolfing. Sales will start in October 2023. The eDrive40 version costs $67,795 or 5.4 million rubles, and the M60 xDrive will cost $85,095 or 6.8 million rubles. [Motor1]
