BMW i3 HomeRun for place of production

After nine years, BMW is ending the production of the i3 model, and on this occasion, an exclusive HomeRun series of only ten copies was made. The car comes in a special icy dark gray and red color and with rich equipment.

The HomeRun Edition features 20-inch wheels, adaptive headlights, an electrified glass sunroof with dimming controls. The cabin is upholstered in leather, passengers have navigation and an audio system by Harman Kardon at their disposal.

The BMW i3 reached the number of 250,000 units during its production life. Only one generation was offered, but since 2014 there have been several refreshes. At the beginning, the model had a modest autonomy of 130 km, which was later extended to 260 km and 290 km. The drive power has been increased from 170 HP to 181 HP.

Although the i3 has officially been discontinued, the Leipzig plant where this model was built will continue to produce electric drive components and batteries. Starting next year, the MINI Countryman with a fully electric drive will be produced here.
