Blackvue Presents Microsleep Prevention Dashcam at IIMS 2022

DAPURPACU – Blackvue introduced the DR750X-3CH DMS Plus dashcam at the IIMS Hybrid 2022 event, which took place from March 15 to April 10 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.

The latest Blackvue dashcam series is a new breakthrough in the function of artificial intelligence or AI (Artificial Intelligence) with Driver Monitoring System (DMS) technology for accident prevention.

This car cabin camera is said to be able to monitor users and provide warnings when the driver is sleepy (microsleep) or out of focus.

This technology is very important because usually dashcams are only used as evidence if an incident occurs, but with DMS technology, accidents can be prevented before they occur.

Rudy Ham, Marketing Director of Dashcam Blackvue, explained that this refers to data from the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) which recorded that around 80 percent of accidents on toll roads are due to sleepiness and fatigue.

“Based on data from toll road managers, 52% occurred due to lack of anticipation, namely not focusing, not keeping distance and overspeeding. While the driver is sleepy at 45 percent,” said Rudy when met at Hall B, JIExpo, Friday (1/4/2022).

Not only that, he explained, in addition to the function of giving a warning when the driver is sleepy and unfocused, this brand-new Blackvue also has other powerful features.

“Such as giving a warning when there is overspeeding, sharp turns, sudden brakes and sudden acceleration. So this can take precautions and always be safe on the trip,” he said.

The DR750X-3CH DMS Plus itself consists of a three-channel dashcam device with Cloud connectivity via Wi-Fi hotspot, or an optional LTE plug-in USB module.

The device has one camera on the front and one on the back, both of which use Sony Starvis lenses to produce the best image quality in any lighting conditions, both bright and dark.

Another camera device monitors the driver to record and detect signs of drowsiness or lack of concentration while driving and alerts with a ‘warning’ sound at that time.

“If the warning sound is not heard while the driver is microsleep, the sound will be louder. This is thanks to infrared LEDs for day and night monitoring,” said Rudy.

“This hidden dashcam is also equipped with a built in GPS to record the car’s speed and save the car’s location, Wi-Fi and default parking mode,” he continued.

For this latest type, Blackvue also presents the latest feature, namely Seamless Pairing, where smartphone users can connect to the dashcam easily.

Regarding the price, the Blackvue DR750X-3CH DMS Plus is priced at Rp. 11 million, and specifically at IIMS 2022, Blackvue has prepared a free installation promo and other interesting promos for visitors. [dp/DF]
