Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced to operate regular flights on Chittagong-Dubai route from January 11. Besides, a special flight of Biman will start operating on Dhaka-Chittagong-Dubai route on January 9.

This information was given in a press release on Thursday (January 8).

It is said that PCR lab of Covid test has been launched at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong. A special flight will be launched on the Dhaka-Chittagong-Dubai route from January 9, citing growing passenger demand. Biman flight BG-4147 will depart from Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 10:15 am. The flight will arrive at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong at 11am. It will then leave Chittagong at 12 noon for Dubai. Passengers are requested to be present at the airport at least eight hours before departure to complete all formalities as per Dubai travel guidelines.

Regular flights from Chittagong to Dubai will start on January 11, two days after the launch of the special flight. Tickets for the Chittagong-Dubai route will be available from Thursday afternoon.

According to the press release, the maximum price for each one-way economy class ticket of Chittagong-Dubai flight has been fixed at Tk 85,329 including tax and the minimum price for each one-way business class ticket has been fixed at Tk 8,538 including tax.

Air fares on various routes in the Middle East more than doubled in December due to rising demand. The expatriate workers who returned to the country due to the impact of the epidemic are in trouble. On Tuesday, on its golden jubilee, Biman announced a reduction in fares for Middle Eastern passengers. However, the announcement came after most of the tickets were sold out.

Passengers did not get any tickets for the month of February even after visiting three sales outlets at Balaka Bhaban, Motijheel and Farmgate on Wednesday.
