The women’s relay race in the seventh stage of the Biathlon World Cup ended in Antholz, Italy.

The national team of Ukraine in the race was represented by the team captain – Elena Pidgrushna, as well as Vita Semerenko, Julia Jima and Valya Semerenko.

In the last round Pidgrushna fought for 7-10 places. Elena competed with her opponent until the last meter of the distance and crossed the finish line at the same time as her Swiss competitor.

Even the video replay could not determine who finished the race at least a moment earlier, so both teams were given eighth place.

The Russian team won the race. Second place went to Germany, and bronze medals were won by French biathletes.
