“Alhamdullilah, the work target is still on schedule. It is our shared hope that BHC will become a mainstay tourism destination for the Indonesian people. It will not only be a beacon of civilization, but also a driving force for the economy of the people of Lampung,” he said.

“With the presence of SOEs in Lampung, we hope that economic growth can be well maintained,” he continued.

Erick also appreciated ASDP management for having built an e-ticketing system, so that now ferry users no longer have to queue when buying tickets to cross from Java to Sumatra. In fact, with the implementation of the Ferizy online ticket reservation system, people can arrange their trips.

During the working visit, ASDP conveyed the progress of the BHC work in district 1. President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Ira Puspadewi said that the current focus of district 1 development is the renovation of the Siger Tower area which has achieved 52% physical development progress and Krakatau Park by 50% %.

“In addition, there is also the UMKM Plaza, an area for training and exhibition venues with an open area concept but equipped with permanent tent facilities and portable seats,” said Ira.

ASDP continues to accelerate this BHC project as an effort to strengthen the transformation of the company’s core business. ASDP acts as an active player that contributes not only to providing transportation access, but also as a waterfront property provider where ASDP begins to build properties to support tourism destinations.

First, starting with the development of the Labuan Bajo Marina Area in NTT, which was then followed by the development of Bakauheni Harbor City which is at the confluence of the main strategic corridors namely Java Island and Sumatra Island, and became a National Strategic Project (PSN).

In order to support the National Tree Planting Month, the Ministry of SOEs initiated simultaneous tree planting at 6 points in Indonesia, namely Bakauheni-Lampung, Sawahlunto-West Sumatra, Das Ciliwung-Jakarta, Kebumen, Semarang and Magelang in Central Java.

Erick Thohir appreciates all SOEs that have supported the National Tree Planting Month activities, where throughout 2022 a total of 4,655,115 trees were planted or exceeded the target set at the beginning of the year, namely 1,000,000 trees.

“My hope is that all SOEs and employees can actively participate in the National Tree Planting Month which falls in December and most importantly maintain this tree planting program so that its implementation is sustainable,” he said.

Meanwhile in Bakauheni Lampung, ASDP planted around 3,100 trees in the 3 hectare Bakauheni Harbor City (BHC) project area located in Lampung, with Tabebuya and Ketapang Kencana tree species. Both types of trees are useful for reducing emissions, decorating and cooling the BHC area.
