Apple accounted for 18.3 downloads, up 22.8 percent from a year ago. Google Play increased to 53.2 billion downloads, 27.3 percent more than a year ago.
Based on spending, Apple is leading the way with $ 32.8 billion. Google Play generated 17.3 billion sales.
The best-earned app, incidentally, was Tinder. Good for $ 433 million. YouTube follows with 431 million and TikTok with 431 million.
