“Sport Lisboa e Benfica – Futebol, SAD (“Benfica SAD”) informs, under the terms and for the purposes of the provisions of article 248-A of the Portuguese Securities Code, that it acquired the sporting rights and 75% of the economic rights of the player Roman Yaremchuk for the sum of 17 million euros to KAA Gent”, advances the incarnated SAD in a statement sent to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
The five-year contract the player signed with Benfica has a cancellation clause worth 100 million euros.
Roman Yaremchuk, 25, who is 1.91 meters tall and weighs 83 kilos, played for the Ukraine national team in the last European Championship, standing out with two goals in five games.
Last season, with Gent, he scored 23 goals in 43 official games.
Yaremchuk will be presented at the Estádio da Luz next Sunday.
