The Ukrainian edition of Strana.ua in its Telegram channel reported that Belarus will not sell electricity to Ukraine.
The message, citing Belenergo, says that from this November the supply of electricity to the UES of Ukraine on the basis of previously concluded contracts will not be carried out and that there are no plans to sign new contracts either.
“Thank you for your cooperation, – the quote is given, – and your interest in purchasing Belarusian electricity.”
Earlier, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities of Ukraine extended the ban on the import of electricity from the Russian Federation and Belarus until November 1. However, later it was reported that from November 6, Kiev planned to resume commercial imports of Belarusian electricity amid a shortage of coal.
In early November, under an emergency assistance agreement, Belarus supplied 500 MW to Ukraine.
