Suara.com – PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk or Bank BTN expressed the enthusiasm of the public to buy property during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Director of Consumer & Commercial Lending Bank BTN I, Hirwandi Gafar, revealed a strong signal that property sector growth will continue in 2021.
According to him, the signal began to be felt in the third and fourth quarters of 2020. Where more than 122 thousand housing units were sold during the pandemic, it was recorded that from June to September 2020, there was an increasing trend.
In fact, during the pandemic, middle class houses with a price of Rp. 300 million – Rp. 1 billion still dominated sales.
“We are confident and optimistic that in 2021, the property sector will be much better,” said Hirwandi in a statement written on Monday (1/3/2021).
Early in 2021 strong signals of economic recovery are continuing.
Bank Indonesia (BI) noted that credit in the property sector in January 2021 increased from 3.6 percent (yoy) in December 2020 to 4.5 percent (yoy), both in KPR / KPA loans, construction loans and real estate loans.
KPR / KPA credit growth itself increased from 3.4 percent (yoy) in December 2020 to 3.2 percent (yoy).
This momentum to strengthen the property sector was utilized by the Bank, whose core business is in KPR, by holding back a virtual property expo exhibition.

Meanwhile, the BTN Solusi Properti Expo virtual property exhibition will take place from February 27 to March 31, 2021.
A total of 71 developers with 171 projects will be displayed at the virtual Anniversary BTN Properti Properti Expo. In this virtual property exhibition, Bank BTN offers a low interest rate of 4.71 percent.
