At the national level, no ATI-free beds are currently available

Hepta

At the national level, no ATI-free bed is currently available, other than those reserved specifically for people with certain medical conditions that are also confirmed with SARS-VOC-2.

As of October 31, 2021, according to data in the alerte.ms application, there are 1,742 ATI beds for COVID-19 patients nationwide. In Bucharest, 392 ATI beds for COVID-19 patients are approved by DSP.

There is also a national operational reserve of 145 ATI beds for COVID-19 patients. These beds are activated, in dynamics, where the number of ATI patients exceeds the capacity of the main wards.

1,874 ATI beds are occupied nationwide.

Work is still underway to operationalize and provide the necessary medical staff for other ATI beds that will be available in the coming days. In the process of operationalization of new ATI beds, emphasis is placed on those intended for people with certain medical conditions and which are also confirmed with SARS-VOC-2 because in these cases those patients have serious conditions that can cause comorbidities and are exposed to much higher risk.
