Aston Martin published the first images with Valhalla in serial version. The supercar has a V8 engine and 950 horsepower, centrally located.
Aston Martin Valhalla takes over the technology developed for the company’s Formula 1 car and comes as a direct rival for Mercedes-AMG ONE, whose arrival is delayed due to pollution regulations.
The completion of the project was carried out under the coordination of the new CEO of the company, Tobias Moers, former head of Mercedes-AMG.
The supercar is powered by a 750-horsepower 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and two 204-horsepower electric motors. This system develops a total of 950 horsepower and 1,000 Nm. 1,550 kilograms weighs the model equipped with active aerodynamic elements that generate a ground pressure of 600 kilograms at 241 km / h. Its maximum speed is 330 km / h. In electric mode, however, it cannot exceed 130 km / h. In just 2.5 seconds it accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h.
Aston Martin Valhalla – Engineers have changed their mind about the propulsion system
In 2019, at the Geneva Motor Show, when it presented the AM-RB 003 prototype, Aston Martin announced a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 and two electric motors. Engineers, meanwhile, have refocused on this V8, but kept the electric propellers. An eight-speed automatic transmission, developed specifically for Valhalla, manages resources. The supercar does not have a conventional reverse gear, but an e-reverse function. Moving with the back is done with the help of the two electric motors. They can operate without the help of the heat engine for distances of up to 15 kilometers.
An active flap exhaust system ensures a tailored soundtrack.
The model is equipped with a limited slip differential. A Track mode is available on board.
Aston Martin plans to take his new creation to the Nurburgring circuit, where he hunts an impressive time: 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
