Recent research suggests that the latest major developments in artificial intelligence could lead to the automation of a quarter of all work done by humans. In addition, generative artificial intelligence such as ChatGPT, about which there is probably no point in wasting words, is expected to increase productivity and, in turn, raise the global gross social product by seven percent over a ten-year period. The biggest risk of becoming “redundant” lies with lawyers and administrative workers and, as everything shows, also company directors.

The Polish beverage company Dictador was the first in the world to “employ” artificial intelligence for the position of director. The artificial intelligence, named Mika, is expected to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week without stopping. He has been doing his job successfully since August last year.

Artificial intelligence Mika helps Dictador find new customers. In addition, it is very helpful in choosing artists for the design of beverage packaging and in organizing various events. Artificial intelligence relies on data and the company’s strategic orientations when making decisions. AI decisions are expectedly unbiased and rational, as the robot does not use emotions to make decisions.

The Mika robot, made by the Hanson Robotics company, naturally has certain limitations. The final decisions are still made by the people. In addition, he cannot fire people and carry out radical reorganizations of the company without the approval of other directors of the company. Whether this will change in the near future is difficult to predict, but there is no doubt that artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly key role in business operations.
