This follows from the travel recommendation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs (MFA) of the Slovak Republic. The resort advises not to travel to red countries and strongly recommends not visiting black countries.
Although green, but…
“Due to the unpredictable and rapidly changing development of the adopted measures in the world, the citizen of the Slovak Republic in the case of traveling abroad is exposed to the risk of limiting the possibilities of returning from abroad or other complications when traveling,” pointed out the resort. The Ministry regularly informs about the current restrictions on the borders and the conditions of entry into the countries on its website.
In case of emergency abroad, Slovak citizens can turn to the embassy of the Slovak Republic accredited for the specific state in which the citizen is located or to the Consular Information Center or the Diplomatic Service MZVEZ (+421 2 5978 5978).
“At the same time, we recommend Slovak citizens to use the voluntary electronic registration service on the MZVEZ SR website or via the Svetobežka mobile application when traveling abroad.” they added.
The travel traffic light assesses individual countries in terms of the development of their epidemic situation, the vaccination status of the population and the possibility of spreading new mutations.
Upon return from the green country, a 14-day domestic quarantine applies, which may be terminated by a negative RT-PCR or antigen test upon arrival.
Exemptions from compulsory isolation are vaccinated against COVID-19, people who have survived the disease in the last 180 days and children under 18 years of age. At the same time, regardless of the country, the rules set by the decrees of the Public Health Office of the Slovak Republic apply.
After a visit from the red country, the passenger must undergo a 14-day domestic quarantine, which may be completed by a negative RT-PCR test no earlier than the eighth day. When returning from the black country, the 14-day quarantine continues regardless of the test result.
