PRIJEDOR, ZENICA – To improve the cooperation of Trade Unions at the BiH level, in cooperation with legal experts through changes in legal solutions, to reach a position in which Trade Unions will negotiate the level of labor costs and coefficients only for members of Trade Union Organizations, are some of the conclusions from the Inter-Trade Union Conference of two Trade Union Organizations “ArcelorMittala” from Zenica and Prijedor.

At the conference held in Prijedor, it was also concluded that it is necessary to send a clear message to employers that the days of capitalist-slave-owner relations towards workers are over and that only a satisfied and motivated worker can be productive and socially useful.
“The trade union organizations AMP and AMZ send a clear message to ArcelorMittal, primarily to their directors in Zenica and Prijedor, that they will not allow further destructive actions in the form of making decisions that are detrimental to workers, as well as possibly making decisions about sending workers to illegal waiting for work, which risks business they want to transfer from themselves to the workers and their families – the employer has the obligation of the worker with whom he concluded the employment contract to secure a job and pay him a fair wage”, it was stated in the announcement of this organization.
The trade union organizations requested an urgent response from the Corporation regarding the adoption of strategic plans aimed at the sustainability and long-term production in the territory of BiH, as well as respect for the Trade Unions, which are the only legal representatives of the workers and without whose consent it is not possible to make decisions.
