Starting from August 12, Daugavpils satiksme is implementing the second phase of the project for the purchase of new buses for the city. At the moment, the exterior paint, interior materials, as well as the specification and location of special equipment for new buses have already been agreed, the company said.
As part of the project, on July 5, Daugavpils satiksme signed an agreement with Transmitto for the supply of 6 new Iveco/Rosero-P First CNG buses and on July 12 with Scania Baltics for the supply of 6 new Scania Citywide LF BEV electric buses.
All new buses will be equipped with air conditioning, visual displays and audio systems, clear markings and pictograms will be placed. Buses will be convenient for people with special needs, limited mobility, mothers with prams.
At the same time, the procurement commission of the Daugavpils City Council continues to evaluate proposals from suppliers received for the tender until October 3.
The project implementation period is the end of next year, and the total cost is 3,240,000 euros, of which the Cohesion Foundation allocated 2,754,000 euros.
