Steve Jobs may be turning in his grave. Apple according to the latest reports, he is considering a pro touch pen iPhone. At the same time, the touch screen with multi-touch and the absence of a stylus was one of the most highlighted features that Steve Jobs mentioned at the launch of the first iPhone. Now it looks like the Apple Pencil will not only be available for iPad tablets, but a cheaper and simpler version should appear for iPhones as well. This should have already happened with the iPhone 14, but according to the latest information, Apple should have decided to cancel this at the last minute, and it is possible that we will not see the pen until next year with the iPhone 15.
The new pen should have a name Apple Marker and unlike Pencils, which have a built-in battery and are charged via Lightning or magnetically on the side of the tablet, the Marker should not have a battery like the competing S-Pen on some Samsung Galaxy phones. The pen (or the tiny chip in the head) should therefore be charged wirelessly. While the Pencil costs $99, or $129 for the second generation, the Apple Marker was supposed to cost $49. Given that the first generation Pencil costs CZK 2,990 in our country, a price of CZK 1,490 could be assumed. Apple was supposed to produce about a million units before deciding to cancel the pen for the time being. Rumor has it that the entire batch will be scrapped. This would indicate that the company was probably not satisfied with the technical solution and will be working on a new version of the pen. But we also might not get anything.
