Apple revolutionized its first Apple Store

Apple has officially reopened the historic Tysons Corner store, moved to another location and completely modernized.

Coinciding with the 22nd anniversary of the first Apple Store, the space of the Tysons Corner introduces a brand new in-store experience with the return of the Genius Barredesigned Avenues, accessibility improvements, more sustainable materials and more.

The redesign of the new Tysons Corner comes described as the most comprehensive Apple Store experience in nearly a decade, marking a new beginning for Apple retail.

As seen in the image above, one major change is the return of a dedicated Genius Bar complete with logo. After some past changes, Apple is now again creating a dedicated and identifiable space within the store where customers can find solutions. In the new Apple Tysons Corner, the Genius Bar is located exactly where it was in the first Apple Store, on the far right.

This is the first time a physical Genius Bar space has been installed in a new Apple Store since 2015, when Apple last redesigned its in-store experience. The Atomic Genius Bar logo is also back with an updated design.

Along with the wooden design for the new Genius Bar, Apple has taken this approach throughout the store.

Also, the aisles between the tables are now wider, which improves accessibility for wheelchair users.

Apple Tysons Corner is simply confirmed as one of a kind, even if in the future Apple will be able to re-propose this design in a new store.
