Apple decided for the first time to publish “App Store Transparency ReportIt includes data for 2022, but the company promises that it will be updated each year.

According to official data, in 2022 there were exactly 1,783,232 applications in the App Store. There are no categories, but it’s safe to assume that the overwhelming majority of them are available for iPhones.

In order for the app (or its update) to be included in the App Store, the team must review the applications submitted by their developers. There were 6,101,913 such applications, of which 1,679,694 were rejected.

• manual application updates – 512 545 816.

Although well over 1.5 million programs can be downloaded to iPhones, iPads and Macs, users are much more likely to revisit previously used apps than to check out new ones.
