It is worth noting, however, that Android 14 Beta 1 is based on the so-called. clean version of the system. It is deprived of the manufacturer’s proprietary code, which means that selected and even key functions of individual devices may not be available at all. For example, in the case of the Nothing Phone (1), its iconic glowing casing does not work on the test firmware.

In addition, the Beta 1 designation indicates an early stage of development, which means that you have to reckon with the occurrence of minor and major bugs. Therefore, the tests are aimed only at advanced users who know what they are doing and/or also have another smartphone.

According to Google’s schedule, the final version of Android 14 will go to the first users in August at the earliest.
