Commander Khandaker Al Moin, Director of Law and Media Branch of RAB, confirmed this information on Friday (May 5) night. He said that RAB gunfire started with armed terrorists when they were going to conduct an operation to arrest Hafizur Rahman alias Chhale Uddin, the head of dacoity group in Baharchhara Pahar area of ​​Teknaf. which is still ongoing.

Cox’s Bazar’s fear of kidnapping and robbery is now ‘Challe Bahini’. The involvement of this force came to the fore in several incidents. Several law enforcement agencies are also trying to arrest Hafizur Rahman alias Chaleh Uddin and his associates.

Kidnappings have been happening in Cox’s Bazar for a long time. One of the leaders of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (Arsa) involved in this incident is Hafizur Rahman alias Saleh Uddin. Law enforcement sources said that the 25-year-old youth, known as Chale Dakat or Saleh Dakat, is leading the group after Arsa Pradhan Ataullah.

According to intelligence sources, the force kidnapped the local residents of Ukhia and Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar and collected the ransom with all the novel strategies. Apart from Teknaf, these incidents are more common in Hnila and Hoikang Unions. After the kidnapping, the victims were released on ransom.

It should be noted that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun visited Cox’s Bazar last Tuesday. He held a meeting with the officials of the law and order enforcement forces there. There the issue of law and order situation in Rohingya camp and Cox’s Bazar area came up.
