An extraordinary parliamentary session on the dismissal of Interior Minister Roman Mikulec (OĽANO) will take place on Tuesday at 1 p.m. TASR informed the Department of Communication with the Media and the Public of the Office of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic. The convening of the meeting was initiated by members of the opposition Smer.

According to Robert Fico, the chairman of Smer, Robert Rico’s appeal is the latest publicized information about his alleged direct interference in “living” criminal cases. Fico claims that he communicated with the police president and asked him about the state of investigation of specific cases. According to the deputy, Mikulec is a man who is demonstrably suspected of corruption and has ordered an order to suspend police intervention.

Mikulec has faced appeals in parliament several times. The opposition has never been able to recall him. He last tried to recall him in March for failing to manage the refugee crisis caused by the war in Ukraine and entrusting it to smaller private companies.
