Amazon launches Fire TV Stick in Sweden

Amazon has launched international versions of the media sticks Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Fire TV Stick. When the units are ordered from Swedish Amazon, the price is SEK 700 and SEK 450, respectively.

They will be released on November 17. Fire Stick is connected directly to the TV and then to the wall socket for power supply. They have an associated remote control to control aspects such as volume and playback. An important difference between the two models is that only Max supports 4K, as the name points out.

Another bonus with Max is support for Wi-Fi 6. According to Amazon, Max is 40 percent more powerful than the previous 4K edition, with faster launch of apps and smoother navigation. Both devices support Dolby Atmos and various HDR standards, but the support is wider for Max.

Amazon’s voice assistant Alexa is integrated in Fire Stick, but then English needs to be used as Swedish language support is lacking. Services like Netflix, YouTube and of course Prime Video support the assistant.
