Amazfit launches the GTR 3 Pro wrist unit

Amazfit’s latest activity watch is called GTR 3 Pro and has a battery life of up to 12 days. If the energy saving mode is used, the battery life should instead be a whole month.

The device can operate for 35 hours if the GPS is used continuously. Amazfit has installed a round 1.45-inch screen with 331ppi and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. The software offers just over 150 dials and each dial has a more energy-efficient variant for the constantly active screen.

Along the side is a button and a crown. The crown can be used to browse the interface. The unit offers heart rate monitors, measurement of oxygen saturation and it can map exercise and sleep, with over 150 sports modes. The construction is water resistant (5ATM) and the watch itself weighs no more than 32 grams.

Apparently, the watch can also measure the user’s heart rate during swimming trips. The software consists of a separate system Amazfit calls Zepp OS, so it will be limited in comparison with Wear OS – especially for apps. The internal storage is 2.3GB and it should be possible to transfer music files for local playback.

The price in Europe is 200 euros. GTR 3 Pro has been released in France, Spain, Italy and the UK, among others.
