Huami seems to be without brakes and after launching the new Zepp Z smartwatch and the GTS 2 Mini in Italy, the Chinese company has made two other wearables available on our market: the Amazfit GTS 2e and the GTR 2e, after a few week after landing on the Chinese market.
The new Amazfit GTS 2e and GTR 2e do not introduce any novelty from an aesthetic point of view considering that the design has remained essentially the same as the older brothers. The main difference between the two wearables from the point of view of construction is represented by the panel, with the first characterized by a square shape while the second by a circular display, closer to traditional watches. If from this point of view the differences stop at this aspect, to identify the most important ones you have to move on to the hardware sector.
The Amazfit GTR 2e and the GTS 2e arise from the need to offer a product capable of providing longer battery life, however, placing them on a lower price range than the standard models. To do this, some specifications had to be revised, with the company having thus decided to remove the Wi-Fi transmitter housed under the body of the two wearables. It should be emphasized instead how all the other features have been maintained such as the presence of the NFC for payments directly from the wrist, passing through an almost unchanged wearability-weight balance and arriving at the battery capacity that has not changed. If, on the one hand, something had to be given up to reduce costs, on the other A pleasant novelty has also been included, such as 24-hour monitoring of body temperature, a very timely function considering the period we are experiencing.
The Amazfit GTS 2e therefore has a 246 mAh battery, a low weight that reaches 25 grams and NFC support. Positive note is, as anticipated, that relating to the increase in the duration of the smartwatch with a single charge, which on this model reaches 14 days with a single charge or 24 days if it is used only for some basic functions. Moving on to the GTR 2e it is necessary to underline the presence of an AMOLED type display and the implementation of a 471 mAh battery that allows the wearable to reach an optimal result, 24 continuous days of autonomy using all the functions offered. The two wearables are already available for purchase in our country both on the company’s official store and on Amazon. The list price is € 129.90 for both models.
