Get out of the way people, the era of robots and artificial intelligence is in full swing. Maybe thanks to this we will turn back to the more real things.
Of course, bots have been roaming the Internet waters for a long time, but their numbers are growing and have already taken over half of all traffic. Or to put it another way, almost half of the data movement on the entire Internet comes from bots. According to Imperva’s security report, robots make up 47.4% of the total volume of traffic. Imperva still divides robots into good and bad. The good ones, for example, index pages for search engines or monitor their performance. The bad ones, on the other hand, steal data, create DDoS attacks or simply hack into somewhere.
Villain robots mostly attack game sites, providers, government websites and financial institutions. The most affected websites are located in the USA, and the second victim is Australia. However, the latter has about half the robot fleas compared to the US. Well, as robots multiply, the human factor decreases. In 2019, people were responsible for 62.8% of traffic, in 2022 it was already 52.6%. In a few years, the main inhabitants of the Internet will probably be AI and its minions.
