Thanks to the use of the Toyota New Global Architecture GA-C platform, it is possible to embed various technologies such as hybrid engines, new transmissions and changing the drive from the rear wheels to the front.

Several new components were installed, starting from the New Crossover Front Looks with the New Front Grille Design which is equipped with an LED Headlamp.
Moving sideways, an aura like a luxury SUV emanates from the New Fascinating 18” Alloy Wheel, as well as the straighter A-pillars and sloping D-pillars strengthening the body type of the SUV.
While on the back, the three-dimensional structure through the New Rear Combination Lamp (Q HV & V) reinforces the emotional and dynamic impression.
Turning to the cabin, the All New Innova Zenix is also equipped with the latest features and technology, including the New Panoramic Retractable Roof (Q & V HV) and the New Captain Seat with Ottoman (Q HV).

The conventional engine uses the code M20A7-FKS with a 1,987 cc four-cylinder Dual-VVTi engine, producing 172 hp of power with a peak torque of 205 Nm.
Meanwhile, the hybrid version is supported by the same engine but with a different code, namely the M20A-FXS. This engine produces 150 hp of power and 187 Nm of maximum torque at 4,400-5,200 rpm.
The hybrid engine is mated to an electric motor producing 111 hp and 206 Nm of peak torque, resulting in a combined power of 183 hp in the system.
The compact electric motor has also developed components in it to increase its power output. Including, the downsized transaxle as a channel of power to the front wheels whose performance is improved to provide the best efficiency and is quieter when operating.
The two engine variants are combined with a new transmission, 10 speed direct shift CVT (code K120), which is claimed to be smoother and more responsive. There is no longer a manual transmission option for the Innova Zenix.
The Ni-MH hybrid battery with a capacity of 1.31 kWh is now packaged in a compact package and is stored under the two front seats without reducing space in the cabin area.
