Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is said to be in critical condition, ANSA agency writes.

“According to preliminary information, subject to further confirmation, Lukashenko was rushed to the Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow after the closed-door meeting with Putin. He currently remains under medical care. Leading specialists were mobilized to attend to his critical condition.

Blood purification procedures were performed and Lukashenko’s condition was deemed untransportable. The orchestrated efforts to save the Belarusian dictator were aimed at dispelling speculation about alleged Kremlin involvement in his poisoning.

Whether he recovers or not, doctors warn of the possibility of relapses. As representatives of the Democratic Forum of the Republic of Belarus, we strongly urge Western leaders to convene a strategic session in the coming days to discuss the “Elections” initiative and other measures that should be taken to ensure the transition period,” wrote Țepkalo, former Belarusian presidential candidate and former ambassador to the United States on Twitter.
