Albanian authorities are going complete seasonal visa-free entry for Russian citizens. This decision can be made today – September 30th.

The Embassy of Albania recalled that, according to the decree of the Council of Ministers of Albania dated December 29, 2021, all Russians are allowed visa-free entry into the country and stay on its territory for tourism purposes for a period of 90 days annually from May 1 to September 30. After this date, it will be canceled, so the departure of travelers from the republic must be carried out before September 30 inclusive.

Thus, from October 1, Russian tourists will be able to enter Albania only if they have a local visa or a Schengen visa. The embassy emphasized that an electronic Albanian visa can be used to enter the country during this period. If travelers plan to stay in the republic for more than 90 days, they need to obtain an Albanian visa type “D”, “the corresponding subtype depending on the purpose of the stay.”
