[아시아경제 이동우 기자] Following Singapore, Air Premia announced that it will start service to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on the 12th.
The Incheon-Ho Chi Minh route will start with cargo transportation three times a week. Air Premia plans to accelerate passenger transportation as soon as the entry quarantine policy changes or the travel safety zone (VTL) resumes.
The company is coordinating the schedule with the leasing company to introduce equipment for units 2 and 3 (B787-9) this year. The B787-9 is a medium-sized aircraft capable of reaching Europe and the Americas with a cruising range of over 15,000 km. Fuel efficiency is about 30% higher than that of conventional aircraft.
Air Premia is carrying out the licensing process with the goal of starting the Incheon-LA route in May. It is planning to secure up to 4 units this year, and plans to expand the fleet to 7 units next year and 10 units next year.
“We will provide comfort that anyone can enjoy at a reasonable price,” said Myung-seop Myung-seop, CEO of Air Premia.
