AHM Returns To Distribute Aid To The Community In Time Of Pandemic

DAPURPACU – PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) has again launched a sharing program for the community during the pandemic, which will be continued until next August.

In this program, AHM distributed Personal Protective Equipment (APD) of 100 sets of Hazmat and 1,000 KN95 medical masks, which were symbolically given to the Deputy Regent of Karawang, Aep Syaepuloh.

The handover ceremony was held at the Regional Government Office, last July 9, and will later be managed by the Regional Government (PEMDA) for health workers at hospitals and health centers, which are currently in red zone status.

The next donation was the delivery of 42 goats for the Eid al-Adha sacrifice to the community at 21 points, spread over 8 areas in DKI Jakarta and 13 areas in West Java, namely Cikarang and Karawang.

In addition, the distribution was also carried out in two areas, namely in Bogor Regency and West Bandung Regency, which was carried out simultaneously on 12 July.

In August, AHM plans to hand over ‘Free Food Packages’ assistance for the elderly, underprivileged families, people with disabilities and traders around the company, namely in the Jakarta and West Java areas.

“We hope that the consistency of the assistance we provide can help alleviate the affected communities in carrying out activities according to government recommendations,” said General Manager of Corporate Communications AHM, Ahmad Muhibbuddin.

These three donation programs complement all AHM support programs during the pandemic since last April. To date, AHM has provided 4,000 medical masks and 10,500 cloth masks intended for medical personnel and the public.

Not only that, AHM has also handed over 9,958 food packages aimed at underprivileged communities from various walks of life, such as medical personnel, daily laborers, cultural workers, people with disabilities to environmental activists and veterans of the Indonesian struggle.

There were also 3,159 snack packages to accompany activities at home which were given to social agencies such as orphanages and mosques. [dp/MTH]
