Agreed project financing of the Sava Center in the amount of 55 million euros
NLB Group, i.e. parent NLB Bank from Ljubljana and its member on the Serbian market NLB Komercijalna banka, signed with Delta Congress Center contract on project financing of the Sava Center in the amount of 55 million euros.
Delta’s total investment is intended for one of the most demanding and significant architectural undertakings in our country – the complete reconstruction of more than 100,000 square meters of congress, business and retail space in New Belgrade, which will exceed 100 million euros.
“As a systemic bank and member of the NLB Group in the largest regional market, NLB Komercijalna banka has the motivation and capacity to invest strongly in the local market and finance projects of capital importance for the entire community. For more than four decades, Sava Center has been a symbol of connection, exchange of knowledge, opinions and ideas, which know no borders – as NLB Komercijalna banka and NLB Group strive to be. That’s why we want to thank our partners from Delta Congress Center on the opportunity to support the reconstruction of the legendary building, which will bring back entertainment and culture, but also restart the congress industry in the country and the region”, said Vlastimir Vuković, President of the Executive Board of NLB Komercijalna banka.
Let us remind you that since its opening in 1977, the Sava Center has hosted more than 1.6 million participants at more than 7,000 domestic and international congresses and conferences, including the General Assembly of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, the General Assembly of UNESCO, the OSCE and the Assembly EBRD.
