after Vinland Saga, the sequel to this excellent anime finally reveals its release date

Last month, we revealed to you that the saison 2 of this anime very popular, namely Demon Slayerwas going to land on Netflix, confirming the trend of the streaming platform to invest in the Japanese animation sector. And even more recently, fans of the genre learned that the sequel to another production originale from the streaming giant was going to be released soon, news that will delight fans ofmartial arts anime.

Netflix continues its foray into the “japanese” industry, offering more and more anime in its catalog. And in order to satisfy the desires of the fans, the platform has not only decided to add some classics of the genre, but also its own original productionswith for example Cyberpunk : Edgerunners, Valkyrie Apocalypse or Yasuke. One of the streaming giant’s latest projects is the adaptation of Pluto de Naoki Urasawa.

And if we can find very different animes within the original Netflix productions, the platform had notably bet on combat animes some time ago, in particular with the recovery of Mouthbut also with Kengan Ashura. And justly, While fans have been waiting for the sequel to the anime for several years already, Netflix has just shared the release date for Season 2.

L’anime Kengan Ashura is adapted from the eponymous manga by Yabako Sandrovich and Daromeonpre-published between 2012 and 2018 in the magazine Ura Sunday. Its animated adaptation, produced by Larx Entertainmentdebuted in 2019 and so far has a season split into two parts, each featuring twelve episodes.

But since Netflix’s announcement just over a year ago confirming that the sequel was indeed in production, fans have had very little information. Now we know that anime season 2 Kengan Ashura will indeed be available this year, and more precisely in September 2023.

For those who missed it, Kengan Ashura tells us how for centuries now, disagreements between big companies are resolved in the shadows, in clandestine fights, dubbed “Kengan”where each company is represented by a combatant, and whose winner wins the dispute in question.

It is in this context that we find Ohma Tokita, a fighter nicknamed Ashura, accompanied by modest office worker Kazuo Yamashita. Indeed, the latter received the order directly from the CEO of his company, Hideki Nogi, to be present on site to witness the fighting. Kazuo will thus discover a dark, brutal and bloody world, in which economic conflicts obey only one law: that of the strongest!
