Regarding the reply letter from the KPK leadership, which previously requested an explanation from Komnas HAM regarding the alleged violation of human rights that is being investigated, Anam responded, if the summons was made to the KPK leadership in order to find out whether there had been a violation.

“If it can’t be answered now. This forum must be interpreted as an opportunity,” he said.
Furthermore, Anam hopes that the KPK leadership can attend to fulfill the second summons of Komnas HAM.
“So this is our hope that our colleagues at the KPK can come. It’s good for all of us to respect people and respect institutions,” he said.
The KPK leadership itself is scheduled to be questioned by Komnas HAM on Tuesday next week.
Previously, at the first summons on Wednesday (8/6/2021), the KPK leadership, including Firli Bahuri, was absent as chairman. Instead, they sent a letter asking Komnas HAM for an explanation.
