ADVANS GROUP allocates 50 million euros for acquisitions in Serbia and beyond

By reorganizing the capital structure, ADVANS Group allocated 50 million euros for investments and is interested in further growth through M&A activities (mergers and acquisitions) in Serbia and the world. Companies in the focus of ADVANS Group’s interest are those that provide professional engineering services in some of the areas of hardware, software and mechanical engineering, which means the entire IT industry, from concept to product.

ADVANS Group is an engineering group of companies specialized in providing services in the fields of embedded systems, application software and mechanical design, which was founded in 2000 by Radomir Jovanović. The group has developed specific multi-sector expertise, with centers of excellence in the areas of semiconductors, energy and transport. It is present in France at as many as nine locations, and also has three technology centers in Serbia, for providing services to international clients. In addition, ADVANS Group has representative offices in the USA and Portugal. From its design bureaus, its centers, or directly at customer locations, ADVANS Group supports major European and American industrial companies in specialized technical projects.

“The main motivator for the growth of ADVANS Group is the pursuit of excellence and pushing the boundaries of known technological solutions, which we achieve together with our partners, clients and engineers. Today, with an investment capital of 50 million euros, we look even further and strive to join forces with companies with which we share values and a vision for the future, which are technology companies on the world market, as well as on the Serbian market, which we know have quality, reliability and significant potential”, said Radomir Jovanović, CEO and founder of ADVANS Group.

With organic growth of around 10 percent per year, ADVANS Group has demonstrated the strength of its business model. In 2022, the group achieved a turnover of 84 million euros and employs more than 1,000 engineers, three hundred of whom work in Serbia. ADVANS Group’s goal is to double its turnover by 2026. In order to achieve this goal, the Group relies on the demand for expertise and experience and plans to employ another 350 engineers in the markets where it operates within a year. Also, ADVANS Group wants to accelerate its development with a strategy of targeted external growth, through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), which would enable the expansion of business presence and skills.

Combining technical expertise and industry knowledge, ADVANS Group’s engineering team is involved in the entire development cycle of complex systems in a number of areas from aerospace, defense, energy, IoT, medical, tertiary sector, semiconductor, transportation and other industrial areas.

The improvement of electronics and software is necessary for the energy transition:

ADVANS Group operates in very dynamic markets that will contribute to its growth. On the one hand, the need for high technological expertise and difficulties in terms of human resources lead to large manufacturers hiring external teams for research and development (R&D), for the purposes of designing or testing telecommunication equipment chips (introduction of 5G), etc. On the other hand, reducing the environmental footprint cannot be achieved without innovations in electronics and software. ADVANS Group thus works on many projects related to ecological transition, such as charging stations for electric vehicles, public transport powered by hydrogen energy sources, or even household equipment that accumulates energy during the day and redistributes it during the evening, when is the busiest network.
