“In May last year, I was preparing for the obscure film role of a man dying of cancer. I prepared for that character for five months, I went to the gym for the first time and trained boxing. Shortly before the start of filming, which was supposed to last two and a half months and be very demanding, I preventively went to the doctor for more detailed examinations. Since I hadn’t played such a big role in the film for almost 20 years, I thought it was okay to make sure I was okay and wouldn’t have to take a break. I did a few scanners and magnets, although I was healthy and did not feel any discomfort. That’s how I accidentally found out that I have cancer on the head of the pancreas “, he said earlier for” Gloria “.

In his career so far, he has played numerous theater and film roles. Since 1984, he has been a member of the National Theater, where he has played plays War and Peace, Romeo and Juliet, Red Scarf, Kostana and others. He is the winner of two big awards – “Golden Knight” and “Rasa Plaovic” award. After that, he withdrew from the theater, and appeared in the film only occasionally.

He first appeared on the big screen in 1975 in the film Sons. He gained great popularity in the 80’s, when three films were released annually in which he played one of the main roles. In the period from 1981 and the film Promising Boy to 1989 and Color in Kosovo, Arsić acted in 22 films, one series and one TV film.

In the 1990s, Arsić withdrew from the world of acting for the first time. He made several films: Thessalonians Speak, The Girl with the Lamp, Hit the Stronger Maniacs, Pokondirena tikva, and the series Theater in the Serbs. He also tried his hand as a producer in the film Conditional Freedom from 2006. He was a producer again, this time in the series Sixth Sense. However, due to a misunderstanding, the series was shut down after six episodes. Later, he interpreted the chief in the film Ma nije nije tak from 2011, as well as Bishop Nikolaj Velimirović in Stojte galije carske.

The television audience had the opportunity to see him in the role of the Baron in the second season of the popular series My Father’s Killers. During 2018, he acted in the series Code Despot, and the films Sleeper for Soldiers and King Peter the First in Glory of Serbia.

Arsic was also in political waters. Until 2008, he was a member of the Democratic Party of Serbia, and in the same year he joined the newly founded Serbian Progressive Party. He was a cultural adviser to Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, whom he greatly appreciates. Today, Tihomir is a member of the party’s presidency, and since 2018 he has been the state secretary in the Ministry of Culture.
