ABT dedicates the Audi RS6 Johann Abt Signature Edition to its founder

1986-2021: ABT celebrates 125 years. The tuning company that produces the Audi more performance has dedicated a RS6 with 800 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque to Johann Abbot. It is produced in only 64 units, one for each year of life of the legendary founder.

The new car is called Audi RS6 Johann Abt Signature Edition. Each of the 64 specimens contains a fragment of the original anvil used by the blacksmith and founder of the company, which specializes in processing from the compact (such as the ABT Audi S3) to the SUVs of the Ingolstadt company. Characterized by exasperated performance, the ‘special’ RS6 sprints from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.91 seconds and reaches 330 km / h of maximum speed.

Both on the bodywork and on board, there are badges that mark the special series with the words’Since 1896‘, as mentioned, the year the company was founded. The signature ‘Johann Abt’ is also featured on the seat backs. Other highlights from an aesthetic point of view are the aerodynamic elements of the new package that reduces air resistance. The kit generates an additional downforce for approx 150 kg. In this way the car is pressed to the ground at the rear for better stability.

Brakes chapter. The air intakes of the system have been adapted to the powers with an improvement in the cooling system. The brake calipers (here a special of ours on all existing types) are red and in carbon fiber, developed specifically for this model. The alloy wheels are 22 inches, lighter than the stock ones for approx 3,5 kg wheel.

Inside stand out the leather seats with contrasting red stitching and various carbon fiber elements with red veins. As mentioned above, performance is the flagship of the 64 Audi RS6 Johann Abt Signature Edition. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h has dropped by 0.69 seconds, unlike the standard RS 6, while the 0-300 km/h it was shot down by 20 seconds again compared to the original version.

Finally, the new German sports car can be controlled remotely. ABT has in fact provided for aapp showing the various parameters on the drive and the engine. The driver can thus manage the 3 modes of gear (Eco, Power and Race) to modulate the torque released by the 4.0 V8 biturbo unit.
