I clearly understood that for the sake of the student, Angelica Sidorova, with whom we have been walking hand in hand for 19 years already, for the sake of our joint work and on the eve of the approaching Olympics, I need to stop and make an informed choice, ”Abramova said.
She stressed that despite leaving the post of sports director, she remains a member of the Presidium and the head coach of the national team and, due to her opportunities, intends to continue the work begun on the development and popularization of athletics in general, and in particular, to implement plans for the development of pole vaulting.
Earlier, the head of the ARAF, Peter Ivanov, said that he had a full understanding of how to bring Russian athletics out of the crisis.
