Prague – The largest domestic group of second-hand car dealers, AAA Auto, is preparing to expand its sales activities to the countries of Western Europe, where it has never operated before. He wants to publish the information in a few weeks. This was stated by CEO Karolína Topolová at today’s press conference.
“We definitely want to use the online environment, but also the fact that we are not just a reseller of cars, but that we are their owner,” Topolová added without further details.
Last year, AAA Auto sold 70,000 cars in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia, which means a year-on-year decrease of 19 percent. Of these, 11,000 cars were sold online by the company.
The video stream marked with the PROTEXT VIDEO brand is not part of the ČTK news service, it is a commercial presentation of the client.
“This year, if the pandemic situation allows, we want to return at least to the numbers from 2019, when we traded almost 90,000 cars. The deteriorating economic situation, the trend of holidays in the Czech Republic and the preference of cars over public transport will lead to greater interest in used cars. “Topolová added. She added that she expects the continued growth of used prices this year. These increased by ten to 15 percent in some segments in the second half of the year.
Thousands of cars want to sell AAA Auto online again this year. Internet sales are provided by the innovative AuresLab laboratory. “The success rate of online sales is now about 95 percent. People who want to buy a car online are usually already determined to buy. They know that when buying they do not risk anything extra compared to personal negotiations, in addition, by law they have the option within two weeks return, “said Stanislav Gálik, Executive Director of AuresLab.
The best-selling car in the AAA Auto e-shop was the Škoda Octavia with a petrol engine. In the Czech Republic with a combi body, in Slovakia it is the most popular hatchback.
The AAA Auto Group is owned by the British-Polish investment fund Abris Capital Partners. AAA operates more than forty buying and selling branches in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. It employs about 2400 people.
