On Sunday, more than 160 motorsport fans registered for the Haapsalu folk print held at a distance of two kilometers on the streets between the Haapsalu sports building and the railway station.

According to the organizer of the competition, Kalle Kruusma, the Haapsalu folk print has always been full of participants, but there have not been as many participants as there have been this year. The participants drove three laps on the streets of Haapsalu and the results of the two best races were entered in the calculation of the results. Peeter Rüütel, who rode the fastest cross-country, completed the fastest four kilometers, taking 3 minutes and 50 seconds to cross the two tracks.

Kruusmad was especially pleased that a lot of young people took part in the competition. There were 25 people under the age of 16. “They line up according to Ot,” said Kruusma. A total of 14 different categories competed in Haapsalu on Sunday. Kruusma also pointed out one of the organizers of the competition, Cärolyn Soidla, who took first place in the women’s standings.

According to Kruusma, the race went well, but on Monday more bugs were eliminated, for example, a rally flight flew into the green areas or the rubble of someone’s yard – the organizers will collect it. The organizers had also put places where cars had left the road in previous years, concrete blocks and no cars had left the road this year.

Haapsalu Folk Print is the second stage of the UEA Cup.
