Benešov – Police officers at the Benešov hospital intervened against a patient who threatened paramedics and barricaded himself in the hall. The police pacified him, no one but the perpetrator were injured. This was stated by health councilor Pavel Pavlík (ODS) at today’s meeting of the regional council.

The incident happened in the afternoon, the patient was brought to the hospital by an ambulance. Police officers were called to the incident. “We intervened in the Benešov hospital against a man who, after being transported by the ambulance service during the treatment, endangered the medical staff,” a spokeswoman for the Central Bohemian police, Vlasta Suchánková, confirmed to ČTK.

According to Pavlík, the patient then barricaded himself in the operating room at the surgical outpatient clinic. “He has already been pacified with the help of the Police of the Czech Republic. There has been no danger to life or injury,” the councilor added. According to him, only the perpetrator was injured during the operation.
