The Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia presented the members of the new Supervisory Board of Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS). The appointment of professionals from Serbia and the world marks the beginning of a new era for EPS, with ambitions for the company to become strong, modern, successful and a leader in the region.
The competent minister, Dubravka Đedović, emphasized that the transformation of the EPS will not be just a reform on paper. Instead, the goal is to achieve concrete results through greater accountability and depoliticization. According to her, the Government of Serbia, as the owner of EPS, defines the company’s goals, and the new Supervisory Board will play an important role in implementing the country’s energy strategy.

The Minister stated that it is a strategic decision of the Government to cooperate with Norway, which is reflected in the composition of the new Supervisory Board, in which three of the seven members are from the Norwegian energy systems. They brought experience from their country where state-owned energy companies operate efficiently and often dominate the energy market, especially in the field of renewable energy.
The new members of the Supervisory Board are Oluf Ulset, Vladan Živanović, Per Sanderud, Dejan Ostojić, Hilde Baken, Igor Petković and Miodrag Ranković.
