The thermal power plant in Pancevo should start operating by the middle of the year, said the general director of Gazprom Energoholding, Denis Fyodorov.
In an interview with Kommersant, he explained that the extension of the deadlines for the completion of this facility was due to restrictions on coronaviruses in Serbia and China.
Answering the journalist’s question, Fyodorov pointed out that there are no penalties for delaying the completion of TE-TO.
He pointed out that there are plans for further investment of Gazprom Energoholding in Serbia, and added that three projects of similar capacity are being considered, and he assessed the construction of a wind power plant of 200 megawatts as good potential.
Fyodorov pointed out that this is a topic on which it is necessary to make final talks with Serbian colleagues.
The beginning of the construction of TE-TO Pancevo was in the spring of 2019, it is a plant with a capacity of 196 megawatts, which will produce energy from natural gas for the needs of the NIS Oil Refinery and place electricity on the market.
