A motorcyclist named Izdadul Haque (40) was killed when a truck hit him in the capital’s Shyamoli. Police seized the reckless truck and arrested its helper. However, the driver of the deadly truck escaped from the spot.
Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Golam Faruk said a motorcycle and two rickshaws collided head-on with a CNG truck in front of the Shyamoli Footover Bridge on Tuesday night. Later, Ijdadul was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on duty. The on-duty doctor declared him dead at 12:30 pm. Two of the injured have returned home with first aid from a local hospital. After the autopsy at the Dhaka Medical College morgue, the relatives took the body away on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the relatives of the deceased Izzadul Haque, he used to work in Banglabazar Haque Shop Publications. His village home is in Rasulpur village of Kotwali thana of Comilla Sadar. Her father’s name is Anisul Haque. At night he was going to the children’s hospital from Gandaria on his motorcycle.
