British carmaker Land Rover has prepared a limited series of 25 handmade Defender Works V8 Trophy vehicles
When Land Rover stopped producing the classic Defender model in 2016, an important period of production of exclusively purpose-built off-road vehicles ended.
Throughout its 67-year history, Defender has earned the status of a world icon. Five years after the end of production, the department for classic vehicles Land Rover Classic designed a special version of the Defender.
The exclusive Defender Works V8 Trophy series, of just 25 vehicles, pays tribute to the legacy of the original Defender and his exploits at the Camel Trophy competition, where he tackled some of the world’s toughest terrain in the 1980s.
The vehicle is powered by a 5-liter V8 petrol engine, which develops 399 horsepower and 515 Nm of torque.
All 25 vehicles of the limited series Defender Works V8 Trophy, whose price was 225,000 euros, were sold in just three days.
