A cyclist was killed when he was hit by a motorcycle in Joypurhat

A cyclist named Abdus Samad (60) was killed in a motorcycle collision in Jamalpur Charmatha area of ​​Joypurhat Sadar Upazila. Two people were injured in the incident. The accident took place on Joypurhat-Akkelpur road on Saturday evening.

Officer-in-charge of Joypurhat Sadar Police Station Alamgir Jahan confirmed the matter.

The deceased was identified as Abdus Samad, son of Tamiz Uddin of Jamalpur Palpara village under Joypurhat Sadar upazila. The injured have been identified as Munna Hossain (22) and Salman Hossain (24) of Jamalpur Palpara village.

OC Alamgir Jahan said Abdus Samad was cycling from his home to Jamalpur Charmatha area. Abdus Samad was seriously injured when a speeding motorcycle hit him from the front. When the driver and rider of the motorcycle were injured in the incident, the locals rescued them and admitted them to Joypurhat Modern District Hospital. Abdus Samad died at night while undergoing treatment.
