A child named Tawheed (4) died after being hit by a battery-operated auto-rickshaw in Charbera area of Salanga, Sirajganj. This accident took place in Charbera area of Salanga-Dhamaikandi regional road at around 10 am today, Tuesday (May 30).
The deceased child is the son of Serazul Islam of Charbera Uttarpara village of Tawhid police station.
Locals said that this morning, his mother went to collect hay with the child Tawheed on the side of the road. At that time, the child was playing on the road when he was hit by an unidentified battery operated autorickshaw.
The child was quickly rescued and taken to a local hospital where the doctor declared him dead.
