It weighs a generous 2.5 tons, is almost 2 meters high and the same width, almost 4.9 meters long, but with its 585 HP engine and 850 Nm torque, it accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and can reach 220 km/h , and it also goes on rough terrain – the Mercedes-AMG G 63 is a brutal luxury SUV.

A saucer-like luxury watch with a Mercedes connection goes perfectly with it: the new G-Class-inspired piece from IWC Schaffhausen. The Swiss watch manufacturer, which collaborates most spectacularly in Formula 1, but also with the Stuttgart car brand, created the G 63 edition for the Big Pilot’s Watch.
The 46.2 mm diameter case, the onion/diamond-shaped crown, the seven-day(!) power reserve of the automatic caliber 52010, and the special features of the case material and the design of the dial remain in the watch made for luxury SUVs.

One of the two G 63 Big Pilot’s Watches received an “Armor Gold” case, evoking the black and gold color scheme of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Grand Edition, this alloy is much harder and more resistant than traditional 18-carat gold. The other, more utilitarian one, has a “matrix-ceramic composite” (CMC) case developed jointly with the German aeronautical center. It is a very light, very resistant material that can withstand extreme heat.
In addition to the power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock, the AG 63 editions also feature a pair of small seconds sub-dials with a white frame at 9 o’clock, which in this way evoke the car’s headlights in pairs. The texture of the dials mimics the grille of the car’s air intakes, the indices are glued, prominent pieces instead of the traditional printed design. The three-pointed star of Mercedes-Benz also appears on the back of the spare wheel.
The gold-black edition costs EUR 37,200 (HUF 14.3 million), the black CMC version costs EUR 49,700 (HUF 19.1 million) – not a small amount, even if the Mercedes AMG G 63 is somewhere It starts at around HUF 80 million, but it can reach up to HUF 100 million.
